Meet Samantha Hutton
“Sami believes that her clients are stronger than they think. She sees what is possible for her clients before they do and listens to what really matters. Sami’s clients feel heard, valued and more confident with every session.”
Sami Hutton, Provisional Psychologist
With three years of experience working on mental health services, Sami has supported individuals through a wide range of challenges, including trauma, PTSD, workplace stress, life transitions, grief and loss, and relationship breakdowns. She draws on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution focussed therapy, schema therapy, exposure therapy, and narrative therapy to provide tailored support that meets each client’s unique needs.
Sami takes a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and collaborative approach to therapy, ensuring that clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. She values feedback-informed treatment, working closely with clients to create a therapeutic experience that is both effective and meaningful. She is authentic and genuine and doesn’t have a fake “therapist voice”. She is genuinely interested in each of her clients and allowing them to feel happier, more fulfilled and more confident.
With a wealth of lived experience from across the globe, Sami brings warmth, insight, and even a touch of humour to her practice, creating a supportive space where clients can explore challenges and move toward positive change.
Sami holds a Master in Professional Psychology and is a registered Provisional Psychologist. She also holds memberships with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and British Psychological Society (GMBPsS).
Sami’s expertise
Sami focusses on providing clients with clarity so they can really understand themselves. She balances this with providing an evidence-based toolbox of strategies to reduce anxiety and stress, improve mood and create more fulfilling relationships.
Sami is acutely aware that sometimes life transitions that are out of peoples control are the real trigger to distress and mental health challenges. She is proactive in supporting clients not only how to improve the way they look at the world and look at themselves but also providing genuine insight and solutions to difficult scenarios that occur at work, at home and in relationships. Her skills in CBT, Solution Focussed Therapy, Schema Therapy, Exposure Therapy and Narrative Therapy ensure that every client gets therapy that is tailored and based in research of what works to help people feel better.
In her personal life she focusses on family and her pets. Sami is an animal lover with a passion for travel.
