Tips for preparing for therapy
First, it is normal to be nervous about your first therapy session. Anxiety is understandable as you are about to share and explore feelings and thoughts that are highly personal to you.
Be assured our team of non-judgemental Geelong Psychologists will put you at ease.
Preparing for the therapy session is a great way to reduce your anxiety. Write down how you are feeling and what are some of the difficulties you are facing. Think about why you want to attend therapy and the goals you want to achieve.
When you arrive at the first therapy session, our Geelong Psychologists will explain our Feedback Informed Treatment process. Then we will outline your challenges and develop a therapy plan to meet your goals.
One last thing we suggest is to clear some time on either side of your appointment. Give yourself the space to allow time to process your session if you can.
